Where to park in Palma? Let’s visit the city.
Palma is the capital of Mallorca. A city with a long history on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
To visit the city of Palma, it is best to leave the camper van or motorhome parked before reaching the center, and enjoy the city on foot or by public transport. We like to walk and we find Palma a perfect city to walk everywhere. The distances between the main points of interest do not exceed 20 minutes and the absence of steep slopes make it easy for us.
There are several must-see places not to be missed during your visit to Palma. The recommended duration for visiting the city is one day. If you have time, you will enjoy a lot more by extending your stay. And if you are short of time, we recommend at least 4 hours to walk around the historic center.
We can consider the Parque de la Mar, the epicenter of a visit in Palma. It is a large, open space with a large pond and right next to the sea. guarded by the Cathedral and the Almudaina. Two of the most impressive sites in the city of Palma.
In the surrounding area we find the Jewish quarter and its narrow streets, the Lonja, the Parque de Sa Faxina, the Plaza Mayor, the Olivar Market, all ideal places for a good walk.
Do not forget, on your visit to Palma with your Camper Van or Motorhome trip, look out for the Torres de GUMARA and discover our history.
If we want to extend our visit, we can visit the Bellver Castle, which we can reach by public transport or with a nice walk up the hill.
On a cultural level, we have the wonderful Museum of Modern Art Es Baluard and it is also essential to take a walk through the streets of the centre and discover the imprint of modernist architecture in many houses.
If you feel like a bit of movement, go to a concert, show or theatre, you can take a look at the guide youthing.es.
Our favourite places to park our camper van or motorhome on a visit to Palma are around the Hotel Melia Palma Bay or in the Molinar neighborhood.
Remember to respect the current regulations, take care of the environment, do not disturb the locals and leave the place clean and without a trace of our visit. Let’s take care of the beautiful island of Mallorca.
