UNESCO World Heritage Site. <\/i><\/strong>\r\n\r\nWe start our route in the Serra, in the north. <a href=\"https:\/\/gumaracamper.com\/en\/muro-alcudia-pollensa-by-camper-van\/\">After visiting the north coast and the town of Pollensa the day before,<\/a> today we go into the heart of the <strong>Sierra de Tramontana (Serra de Tramuntana).<\/strong> First of all, we want to make an <strong>important warning, the roads of the mountain range are narrow, with many curves and a lot of traffic<\/strong> in some occasions. If you are coming with a camper or large motorhome, and you are not very experienced, we directly recommend you to go back from Pollensa to Palma by the Alcudia highway, and access directly from Palma to <strong>Valldemosa, S\u00f3ller and Puerto de S\u00f3ller.<\/strong> The access is much easier from the south, and from Puerto de S\u00f3ller you can make many excursions by boat to see very typical places like Sa Calobra.\r\n\r\n<strong>Don&#8217;t go into the mountains with a big vehicle without experience, because the only memory you will take with you is a bad driving experience!<\/strong>\r\n\r\nWe took one of <a href=\"https:\/\/gumaracamper.com\/en\/camper-models-for-rent-mallorca\/\">our medium sized camper<\/a>, together with the fact that we have experience driving campers or motorhomes, we decided to do the whole road of the Sierra from Pollensa to Andratx.\r\n\r\nWe started our visit to Tramuntana watching the sunrise at the viewpoint of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Mirador+de+El+Colomer\/@39.9045877,3.0184549,13.25z\/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x12962bc7dd849d27:0x91144cc1bbd62e2f!8m2!3d39.9311142!4d3.1117068!16s%2Fg%2F11t4dssdf2?entry=ttu\">Es Colomer<\/a>, in the north area, quite a spectacle. We renounce to arrive until the lighthouse of Formentor, because it is lost a lot of time and we don&#8217;t feel like that beating of driving. Remember also that from June to September this road is closed to traffic, you can only access by shuttle bus from the parking lot of the beach of Formentor. If the road is restricted, do not access to the lighthouse, because every summer they put thousands and thousands of fines for access in private vehicles.\r\n\r\nOur next stop is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Hospeder%C3%ADa+Santuario+de+Lluc\/@39.8227742,2.8834613,17.5z\/data=!4m13!1m2!2m1!1smonasteria+de+lluc!3m9!1s0x1297db052674fccd:0xf6e727ab60b29cef!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d39.8225088!4d2.8843231!15sChJtb25hc3RlcmlhIGRlIGxsdWNaFCISbW9uYXN0ZXJpYSBkZSBsbHVjkgEFaG90ZWyaASNDaFpEU1VoTk1HOW5TMFZKUTBGblNVTlhPWFZJYmtsbkVBReABAA!16s%2Fm%2F0404djj?entry=ttu\"><strong>Monastery of Lluc<\/strong><\/a>It is accessed by a beautiful mountain road and is one of the magical points of the island, full of energy.\r\n\r\nWe decided to continue along the main road of the Sierra, Ma-10, through the reservoirs of C\u00faber, at the foot of Puig Mayor, the highest peak of Mallorca. We did not detour to Sa Calobra, because the road would take up too much of our time, it is usually crowded and we decided to reserve it for a <strong>boat trip from Puerto de S\u00f3ller<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/07100+S%C3%B3ller,+Islas+Baleares\/@39.7664301,2.7102434,16z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x1297e8bf0f60ed33:0xb0011fe8275e422e!8m2!3d39.7670693!4d2.7157866!16zL20vMDI3ZF9q?entry=ttu\"><strong>S\u00f3ller<\/strong><\/a> village is surrounded by olive and orange trees, and the port of S\u00f3ller has a very nice old part for a walk. On the way here we have stopped at several viewpoints, picnic areas and small villages like Fornalux, which are spectacular. <strong>It is always advisable in this area, to park on the outskirts of the villages<\/strong>, not to access them with our camper or motorhome and take a walk to explore them, their streets are very narrow and we can have problems with our vehicles.\r\n\r\nWe arrived at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/07170+Valldemosa,+Islas+Baleares\/@39.7110994,2.618437,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x1297ee03ba8ac6ff:0x924852e78b96123e!8m2!3d39.7114523!4d2.6225698!16zL20vMDFyNjNs?entry=ttu\"><strong>Valldemosa<\/strong><\/a> at sunset, to have a snack <strong>of Coca de Patata with almond ice cream<\/strong> in one of its terraces. Valldemosas is the scene of numerous series and movies and a walk through its streets is very familiar to us.\r\n\r\nFrom Valldemosa we continue to the village of Andratx passing through <strong>Ba\u00f1albufar<\/strong>, one of the most beautiful villages of Mallorca.\r\n\r\nWe insist, in the mountains the distances become eternal, the road is full of curves and sometimes there is a lot of traffic and you have to go very slowly. <strong>Patience and prudence<\/strong>, plan your route well and do not go with campers or big motorhomes to the most remote places. Take a walk, walk its thousands of trails and always leave the vehicle parked properly.\r\n\r\n<i><b>Remember to respect the current regulations, take care of the environment, do not disturb the neighbors and leave the place clean and without a trace of our passage.
